The woodturners as an active interest group that meet once a month – usually at the various workshops of members. During these meetings members exchange ideas and information and demonstrate techniques and assist each other. In the beginning of each year a programme is drawn up to cover as many aspects of woodturning as possible and “homework” can be submitted during these meetings for discussion. The expertise of members varies from the pre-novice to the most advanced in terms of knowledge and experience.

Some of our members are also affiliated on an individual basis to the Association of Woodturners of South Africa (AWSA)
